Ill be playing on Thursday, October 21st at the Stafford Main Street on 106 Main St. in downtown Bryan Texas. My set is 10:15-11 PM. These seems like it is going to be a really cool event. What: Rock The Republic 2010: A Spectacle of Sight and Sound. (RTR ’10)
This is the second year of the breakout event that features over 100 of the best emerging bands, slam poets, and visual artists from across the “republic” of Texas. (Hence the name Rock The Republic)
RTR’10 creates an intimate, diverse, and explosive experience unlike any other event in the nation. RTR’10 is “the next evolution of the music and arts festival experience.”
When: October 21-23
Where: Downtown Bryan, TX (Just a few minutes from the campus of Texas A&M University — 5th Largest University in the United States)
Why: There needed to be an event that fused the underground culture of Texas “slam poetry” with the diversity of the Texas music scene. Add amazing art installations, exhibits, and experiments that have never been seen and you’ll have Rock The Republic 2010. It’s not a festival. It’s “a spectacle of sight and sound.”
